So I saw that the newest ipad specs have been released, and I have to say I’m not really that impressed. I mean the screen looks awesome, but it’s still got the same basic functionality and gadgets as the ipad 2. I read a Kindle Fire review the other day and it convinced me that the Fire does what I want, but costs less than half of an ipad. So far I’m really enjoying my purchase.

It’s probably no surprise, but The Constant is my favorite Lost episode. Everything about it is absolutely brilliant, and it’s not only my favorite lost episode, it’s the best 1 hour of television I’ve ever seen. I can’t remember another tv episode that made me feel such strong emotions, and immediately after it was over I knew that I had just witnessed something absolutely brilliant.

The basic story is just so powerful and timeless. It’s a story about love conquering any obstacle, and it does this extremely well. In addition, it throws in the sci-fi elements that we all love from Lost such as time travel and all the mystery surrounding the electromagnetism of the island. Overall, you couldn’t ask for a better Lost episode, or a better way to spend an hour watching TV.

I’m thinking about getting a Kindle Touch for my friend’s birthday but not sure if he reads enough to make it worth it. The thing is down to about $100 if you get the ad-supported version so I’m thinking it’s probably a good investment since I don’t think it can get much cheaper at this point. The review I saw on SkepticalMind makes me think it’s a better value than the Kindle 4 so I’m probably going to get that one really soon.
